8-Week Pilot Program Collaboration Between The Noel Foundation, CET and MIIS With the generous support of The Noel Foundation, the Center for Employment Training (CET) and the Monterey Institute for International Studies (MIIS) began a collaboration to bring women from Salinas Valley to MIIS for English language training. Soledad Adult School partners with Center for Employment Training On Monday, November 19, 2007, the Center for Employment Training in Soledad held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Soledad Life Academy, a collaboration among The Noel Foundation, the City of Soledad, Soledad Adult School and the Monterey Institute for International Studies (MIIS). Soledad Life Academy: The Noel Foundation and the CET (Center for Employment Training) opened the first Life Academy in Soledad for under-privileged farm workers; providing English and vocational training for women from migrant communities. Currently, there are 15 students and 10 children attending the school.

Education Through Travel: The Noel Foundation has partnered with the Raymond and Rosa Parks Institute to take disadvantaged children on a 30 day educational journey "Pathways to Freedom" that follows the path of the underground railway thereby instilling in them a greater tolerance and understanding of people of difference races and appreciation of the struggle for freedom from bondage.

The Noel Foundation continues to facilitate the acquisition of additional homes for the sisters to help the disadvantaged in the poorest areas of California.

Scholarships: The Noel Foundation offers annual scholarships to Notre Dame Academy to assist deserving girls whose families are unable to pay for tuition and books. These scholarships are presented in the name of Vivian Harris and Mother Teresa.
